- The name of the world is Tol (or maybe not exactly that, but rather something like it). Currently, you call it Erd, which is decent. It was more appropriate when you were interested in the idea of a “mythic past” Earth, for which the etymology is clear enough: Earth → Erth → Erð → Erd. However, you should probably plot a new course that doesn’t cling to real-world references at all (apart from things that D&D always has, like dragons, knights, and Yggdrasil).
- Also, the idea that the full name of the world translates as “Their will made manifest,” but even the eladrin don’t remember if that refers to the gods or the primordials, is pretty awesome.
- Half-orcs are called urku.
- The kana call the Feywild the Faerinhold? Probably not: “Feywild” is already pretty judgmental of them, and the proper duine word would probably be something more exotic, anyway.
- These totems are pretty cool.
- Hobgoblin kingdom ruled from a fortress known as The Great Marshalling Tower.
- I know it makes people want to throw up, but I still kind of like the idea of achievements in a game. They’re fun.
- Magical academies, at least in the Stone Empire.
